Description:

Last Command is a unique kind of like the old school arcade classic, Missile Defense, except instead of white lines descending toward your little bubble cities, the enemies are humorously drawn aliens with all kinds of strange weaponry, and you are a soldier (later more than one soldier) who must defend the base against the attackers.

Controls are simple: point and click to shoot. If gold, ammo, or other power-ups pop up, mouse over them to pick them up. As you collect money, you can use it to buy more soldiers with better weapons ranging from the slow but lethal mortar to the armored and fast-shooting machine-gun nest. ProTip: Especially on level one, invest in a lot of plain old gunmen: they're cheap, they're quick, and they get lots of headshots.

Occasionally a civilian will run for your protection; if you can keep the aliens from killing him (harder than it sounds), you'll get massive extra points.

In Last Command, the aliens can kill your soldiers, of course, in addition to attacking your bases, so you'll have to purchase more. Eventually, you can buy power-ups that improve your soldier's armor or let them regenerate slowly. The ultimate power (to call an airstrike that wipes the board clean) is a very nice bonus to have, even though it's only available once per wave of aliens.

Eventually, a boss will show up. Be patient as it can take a long time to take a boss down, but the reward is worth the investment. The cash you get for beating a big alien baddy is enormous. ProTip: You can shoot enemy lasers out of the air (even the boss's), and you get gold for doing it, so do it!
