Description:

Gibbets 2 is an artillery game with some major twists. You are a sentient bow and arrow, and your goal is to keep all of the people around you from being hanged to death. That means that in addition to the usual angle/velocity calculations, you're limited by time and health: fail to shoot them down in time, and they die, and you lose. Shoot THEM, and they lose breath even faster.

That itself would make it a great game, but Gibbets 2 doesn't stop there. Within the first 20 levels alone, you'll encounter bonuses that give you more points and more arrows, special targets that explode when shot, teleport your bow and arrow to different parts of the screen, or even fire other arrows from other places on the board. Throw in a Bonus Level that lets you snipe as many dodgy vultures as you can within time and arrow limits, and Gibbets 2 can keep you occupied for hours.

Gameplay is quick (you don't have to wait until your first arrow lands to fire another, and aiming and firing is a simple matter of pointing and clicking), but engaging. Some levels of Gibbets 2 are simple accuracy tests of the can you fit your arrow through this hole variety, others are puzzles that require you to hit targets in a specific order in order to open up a hole to shoot through, and still others are complex timing tests with multiple moving interacting parts that must be shot at exactly the right moment to succeed.
