Description:

Cursed Treasure is a tower defense game, but if that's the kind of thing that would normally turn you off, don't let it. Cursed Treasure has several unique innovations that make it nothing like the myriad other tower defense games out there. The basic idea is that you're a wizard in control of a set of magical gems that are cursed so that everyone in the world wants to steal them.

At your command are a few magic spells, plus a host of Orcs, which live in the grasslands and shoot arrows; Undead, which live in the icy regions and throw magical bolts; and Demons, which live in the badlands and shoot laserlike beams of energy. In Cursed Treasure you can only place each race in it's appropriate territory, which often dramatically limits your strategic options compared to other tower defense games.

That said, there are a lot of strategic options in Cursed Treasure, because as your towers upgrade, they can learn special effects, and each race has a branching tree of special effects to choose from. In addition, as you play, you gain XP which you can spend on three skill trees that give you further options and abilities.

Enemies come in along a generally obvious path, try to steal your gems, and take them off of the screen. Very rarely does a single enemy make it all the way, but they'll move your gems a ways and then die, leaving the next enemy in line to snatch it up and run another short distance before dying. Save a single gem, and you beat the level; lose them all and it's all over.

ProTip: Choosing the Fear option on your Undead towers can often cause the big single-monster Champions to spend their entire lives running uselessly back and forth, getting shot and never really having a chance of getting a lot done.
