Description:

Penguins Attack 2 is a pretty classic tower defense game with a couple of unusual twists. Like all tower defense games, you have enemies (in this case, it's penguins) coming to kill you, and you have to kill them first. They have a pretty well-defined path, and you have various kinds of weaponized tower you can put in their way.

Each tower has a few stats: damage dealt per shot, firing rate, special effects, whether or not it can hit flying enemies (yup, penguins can fly...didn't you know?), and how upgraded it is. Upgrading a tower improves its other stats, and costs half the cost of the tower. ProTip: Normal, cheap gun towers are almost completely useless not upgraded, but upgrade them twice right away, and they can be pretty sweet.

Unlike other tower defense games, in Penguins Attack 2 as you take actions and kill penguins, you earn XP which unlocks various game elements from new towers to further tower upgrades to more cash at the beginning of each level. That provides incentive to keep building and upgrading and adding more even if you think your current setup can win the level.

When you start the game Penguins Attack 2, you have a gun tower, a toxic sludge tower that slows your enemies down as it hurts them, and an electric shock tower. As you level, you'll rapidly uncover a flame tower which deals damage over time. ProTip: Hook these two up right next to each other, so that the sludge makes the flame hit twice as the enemy slogs through the flame tower's killzone. It's totally ineffective against flyers, but it eats walkers for breakfast.
