Crusader Tank has a fascinating storyline, simple but fun gameplay, and is challenging mostly because there's a lot of levels to play through. You control a tank with the arrow keys, and it fires wherever you click with your mouse. Collect health tanks and shield packs as you go to stay alive, and blow up everything that doesn't look like a plant for maximum points.

The scenery of Crusader Tank game is beautiful if a post apocalyptic. The idea is that a group of evil people have nuked the world and covered it in a psychotropic gas that makes people go insane. You've built an environmentally-sealed tank, and your job is to take out the cult like organization that wreaked this destruction.

Seeing as you're virtually the only non homicidally insane person left alive on the planet, everything you see belongs to the cultists, so blowing it up is all good. You get points for destroying structures; lose points for enemy units that survive your passing by, and the game tracks your accuracy so you can challenge yourself once you've mastered the basic interface.

While the game is missing some fundamentals like improved weapons and a win screen when you beat the final level, it's got a lot of realism, which is rare in a game like this. You actually have to lead your opponents, shells travel slowly enough through the air that you can dodge them if you're sharp, and the opponents have very realistic capabilities. All told, Crusader Tank is a fun and easy to play shooter with good graphics and a clever storyline that's worth playing through to see.
